Artists from Opportunities Unlimited of Niagara created a series of paintings and mixed media collages using the theme of “cozy and warm,” which are now on display in the Department of Nursing and Allied Health Programs at Niagara County Community College (NCCC), in Sanborn.
Under the direction of Roberta Nickelsen, Fine Arts Coordinator for Opportunities Unlimited of Niagara, individuals enjoyed creating whimsical paintings and collages using soft, warm, fuzzy materials to represent elements of rest, warmth and comfort.
The art project was made possible by a grant funded through the New York State Council on the Arts and Gov. Andrew Cuomo and was administered through Arts Services Initiative of WNY. The art is currently on display in the Room C-166 of the college’s Science Building, 3111 Saunders Settlement Road, Sanborn.
