Enjoying live music on Tuesday evenings in the summer on a blanket with wine and snacks is a tradition for many in the Elmwood Village and beyond.
The free Picnic in the Parkway Summer Concert Series, presented by the Elmwood Village Association, returns for another year, running weekly from June 19 to Aug. 14. The Tuesday shows, scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m., take place on the spacious lawn just east of where Bidwell Parkway intersects Elmwood Avenue. See the map at the bottom for more.
Alcoholic beverages are sold along the perimeter, while food trucks often post up for service.
Here's the full music lineup for the summer:
June 19: Tom Stahl & the Dangerfields
June 26: Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra
July 10: The Tins
July 17: Sol Y Sombra
July 24: Randle and the Late-Night Scandals
July 31: Workingman's Dead
Aug. 7: The Skiffle Minstrels
Aug. 14: Neville Francis and the Riddim Posse
Donations and proceeds from beverage sales benefit the EVA, which has been active since facing criticism from local business owners. The association released a strategic planning survey earlier this week, which can be taken by the public here.
