Buffalo driver charged after crashing into house, running from police

A man who Buffalo police tried to pull over for running a stop sign drove into a house on Millicent Avenue on Wednesday night, according to a police report.

An officer tried pulled over Brandon M. Perkins, 29, just before 8 p.m. when he was seen running the stop sign at the intersection of Millicent and Edison avenues.

Perkins, of Hewitt Avenue, "refused to stop" for the officer, who had engaged lights and siren, and then struck a home about a half block away. He ran from the scene but was apprehended on Eggert Road, according to the report. The crash caused substantial property damage to the house, the report said.

Perkins was charged with second-degree criminal mischief, second- and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, reckless driving and second-degree obstruction of government administration.
