Four months ago, there was a large for lease sign outside Siena restaurant in Snyder and the restaurant's owners were eyeing a move two blocks to the east.
Today, Siena remains open for business at 4516 Main St., the sign is gone and the restaurant's owners no longer plan to buy the building at 4614 Main.
Chuck Mauro, one of Siena's owners, said the restaurant is staying in its longtime home until a legal dispute with its landlord, First Amherst Development, is resolved.
That fight was the reason First Amherst started seeking a new tenant and Siena's owners considered moving.
But Mauro said the building purchase was just an option, and he and his partner ultimately opted to stay. "We're pretty well attached to the place," Mauro said.
First Amherst officials did not immediately respond to a message.
