Lancaster man pulled out of car, beaten in Buffalo attack

A 28-year-old Lancaster man told Buffalo police he was attacked and robbed Monday morning in the city's Kensington neighborhood.

The victim told police he was driving down Manhattan Avenue near Leroy Avenue at about 8 a.m. when a person on the street asked him for a cigarette, according to Buffalo police. Two other people then approached the vehicle, pulled the victim out and punched and kicked him in the face and head, he told police.

The attackers took the victim's cellphone and cash. One of the victim's sneakers was taken and thrown onto the roof of a nearby home, according to the police report.

The Buffalo Police Department asks anyone with any information about the incident to call or text the confidential tip line at 716-847-2255.
