A public forum on educator diversity and its impact on students will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday in the WNED Studios, 140 Lower Terrace.
The forum will include a presentation of data on diversity among teachers, principals and other school administrators gathered by the Education Trust-NY; a panel discussion with a Buffalo teacher, principal and students as well as a superintendent and the dean of Canisius College's School of Education and Human Services; and a question-and-answer session. Regent Catherine Collins and Buffalo Superintendent Kriner Cash also will be among those addressing the topic.
The forum is sponsored by the Education Trust-NY, the Center for Urban Education at Canisius and WNED/WBFO. The event is free.
