Four young men were arraigned in Erie County Court on Friday and Monday on charges of burglary and arson, both in the third degree, for allegedly setting a fire in September that destroyed a vacant house in Cheektowaga.
The two-story house at 240 Oehman Boulevard burned to the ground on Sept. 28.
Joshua Reiner, Jayson Nugent and Zachary Lewis, all 19, and Daniel Haines III, 20, each entered pleas of not guilty to the felony charges.
The house, set back slightly from others on a short residential street, had sold for about $6,000 in 2015 after sustaining water damage. The owner had been rehabilitating the structure before the fire destroyed it.
The four are accused of using gasoline to start the fire, prosecutors said.
