Cash, a designer purse and narcotics taken in three Niagara Falls car break-ins

Two out-of-town visitors and a city resident had their cars broken into in Niagara Falls over the weekend, police said.

A Pennsylvania woman's van was broken into sometime between 8:45 and 9:41 a.m. in the 100 block of Old Main Street, according to reports. A Samsung tablet and Vera Bradley purse were stolen; the purse contained $40 in cash and some credit cards. Total loss was listed at $841.

A Grandville man's car was entered in the lot of the Wyndham Hotel on Main Street between 11:30 p.m. Saturday and 8:30 a.m. Sunday, with a pocketbook containing $20 in cash and several credit cards stolen.

And a 62nd Street woman told police that a freshly filled prescription of 100 Oxycodone tablets was stolen out of her car between 9:30 p.m. Saturday and 10:30 a.m. Sunday in the 1300 block of Centre Avenue.
