Parked car attracts man with grudge and woman with hammer

A 28-year-old woman told Niagara Falls police that a man she knew punched her in the face early Saturday, before a woman used a hammer to smash the side mirror off her car.

The victim told police that she attended a party at Maxx's Lounge on Highland Avenue, but had to park a distance away, in front of the Elk's Sunset Lodge. Upon returning to her car shortly after 4 a.m., she said that she was confronted by a man with whom she has had past problems. He yelled at her and then punched her in the face, she told police.

A woman then approached the victim, pulled out a hammer and smashed the side mirror off her 2007 Ford, causing an estimated $100 worth of damage. The victim was not seriously injured in the incident.
