NU event open to public to learn about Asha Sanctuary opportunities

Tracy Murphy, founder and president of Asha Sanctuary, will make a presentation at 5:30 p.m Thursday at Niagara University, to discuss ways to help farm animals in Niagara County.

The event, free and open to the public, will feature a question and answer session on jobs, internships and volunteer opportunities at the sanctuary. It is planned for Room 407 in St. Vincent Hall.

The event is sponsored by the NU Club for Animal Rights, Education and Sustainability.

Asha Sanctuary is a not-for-profit, tax exempt educational organization located at 2969 Coomer Road, Newfane. Murphy founded the organization to rescue, rehabilitate and provide shelter for abused farm animals. Visit www.ashasanctuary.com for more information.
