Jamestown man arrested on drug charges

A Jamestown man sought on a probation violation in Pennsylvania was arrested on drug charges in West Ellicott early Saturday after Chautauqua County deputies recognized him as he drove away from a business, the Chautauqua sheriff's office reported.

Andrew L. Nygren, 23, was found to be driving with a suspended New York driver's license. A K9 dog indicated the presence of drugs in the vehicle, and a search yielded drug paraphernalia and a quantity of methamphetamine, the sheriff's office said.

Nygren was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and aggravated unlicensed operation and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail.
