Companies that tear up roads must be made to repave them
For years, the city has allowed utility companies, cable companies and construction companies to dig and rip up our streets. Their definition of an acceptable “fix” is to patch rather than repave the mess they’ve made. Well, this is Buffalo and in the spring those fixes erupt into major potholes almost like a war zone. Dodging and swerving is getting worse and will cause accidents.
The mayor and the Common Council should turn the responsibility over to those companies that did the damage, to repave these roads properly at no cost to the city. The potholes are becoming treacherous and they have no place in Buffalo. Yet another reason to keep people out of the city.
