The Western New York Environmental Federation, made up of conservation leaders from the six counties that comprise Region 9 with the state’s Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), will be holding a fundraiser for the New York State Conservation Council (NYSCC) on April 21 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The event will be held at the Southtowns Walleye Association of WNY clubhouse located at 5895 Southwestern Blvd., Hamburg. Cost for a ticket is $20 and it includes roast beef sandwich and a chance for a .22 Ruger rifle.
The New York State Conservation Council is the umbrella organization fighting for conservationists that include hunters, fishermen and other outdoors enthusiasts to protect and enhance the state’s natural resources and its fish and game laws.
