Buffalo man charged with attempted murder after East Side stabbing

A Buffalo man faces an attempted murder charge in a stabbing last week on the city's East Side.

Reginald A. White, 38, was arrested after a person was stabbed Thursday night on Walden Avenue near Keystone Street, east of Bailey Avenue, according to a Buffalo police report.

The victim was stabbed in the abdomen with a large kitchen knife. White allegedly tried stabbing the victim several more times but was stopped by witnesses, according to the report. White, who also was charged with first-degree assault, was taken into custody at the scene. He was being held at the Erie County Holding Center.

The condition of the victim could not be determined.
