Man pulled out of car and beaten in carjacking

A Buffalo man reported to police that he was the victim of a carjacking Saturday near Sumner Place and West Shore Avenue, Buffalo police said.

The victim told police he was driving home from a friend's house when he was flagged down by two men he did not know just before 5:30 a.m.

Police said the victim reported that one of the men reached into his vehicle and grabbed him, then pulled him out of the vehicle and struck him several times about the head and body. The men then drove off in the victim's car.
