Buffalo woman charged in August bank robbery; teen accomplice sought

Buffalo police on Monday charged a 24-year-old woman with robbing a Main Street bank in August, but they're still looking for her teenage accomplice.

Alexis L. Rose was arrested at the Northeast District station and charged with third-degree robbery, fourth-degree grand larceny and fourth-degree conspiracy, according to a Buffalo police report.

Rose, of Harvard Place, is accused of robbing the KeyBank branch at Main and Jewett Avenue on Aug. 21. Police believe Rose passed a note to a teller and fled with cash.

Rose was aided by an unnamed co-defendant who was younger than 16 at the time of the robbery, according to court documents. That suspect is still being sought by police. Rose, who also had outstanding warrants out of Depew and New York City at the time of her arrest, was being held at the Erie County Holding Center late Tuesday morning.
