A Cattaraugus County man was arrested for driving while intoxicated by State Police Sunday, following a motor vehicle accident on Bakerstand Road in the Town of Franklinville, according to State Police.
According to State Police, Douglas R. Leroy, 65, of Franklinville, was arrested at about 9 p.m., after allegedly failing standard field sobriety tests, and was charged with driving while intoxicated.
Leroy was transported to the State Police Barracks in Machias, where a breath sample was taken, State Police said.
He registered a .16 percent blood alcohol content reading, State Police said.
Leroy was issued tickets to return later in April to Franklinville Town Court, State Police said.
