Niagara Falls Police say that a man who allegedly fired a "warning shot" in an earlier incident is suspected of firing a bullet into a Michigan Avenue home late Friday – a bullet that barely missed a woman standing inside.
A resident of the home told police that he was called to a scene on 15th Street around 10:30 p.m. Friday, where a man reportedly was arguing with his niece. As the Michigan Avenue man approached the argument, the man pulled out a semi-automatic handgun and fired what the victim interpreted as a "warning shot" into the air. The victim took the warning and returned home.
Around a half-hour later, he said, a bullet ripped through his front living room window before lodging in a wall. The shot narrowly missed a woman standing inside. Police are attempting to determine whether the two incidents are related.
