Clarence man dies from injuries in head-on Royalton accident

A Clarence man has died from injuries he suffered in a head-on collision a day earlier on Akron Road in the Town of Royalton.

Terence Standsblack, 27, was taken to Erie County Medical Center after sustaining critical injuries in the Friday evening collision, according to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office. He died on Saturday.

The two-vehicle crash happened at 6:10 p.m. on Akron Road near Miller Road, sending one vehicle into the ditch; the other remained on the road.

Initial investigation determined that Standsblack's westbound vehicle entered the eastbound lane to pass another vehicle when it struck the eastbound vehicle head-on, the Sheriff's Office reported.

The driver of the eastbound vehicle, Devon Kinney, 26, of Lockport, was reported to be in stable condition at Erie County Medical Center.
