Arrest made in $6,000 armed robbery at Arby's in Batavia

A Batavia man has been arrested for pulling a gun and robbing Arby's in Batavia.

The robbery occurred March 25 when a man entered the restaurant with what appeared to be a handgun and took more than $6,000.

Batavia Police arrested Michael J. Piasta Jr., 37, of East Main Street, charging him with second-degree robbery, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and third-degree grand larceny.

Piasta  was arraigned before City Court Judge Durin B. Rogers and remanded to the Genesee County Jail without bail.
