Health experts will address the continuing opioid abuse problem throughout Buffalo-Niagara at a public forum Thursday in Maryvale High School in Cheektowaga.
Officials from the Erie County Health Department, Maryvale Schools, WNY United Against Drug and Alcohol Abuse, the Cheektowaga Police Department and the Cheektowaga Town Board are scheduled to speak.
State Assemblywoman Monica Wallace, who sponsored the forum, will serve as moderator.
Narcan training will be available. A question-and-answer period will follow the speakers.
The event begins at 6 p.m. at 1050 Maryvale Drive.
