Lockport man indicted in Niagara Falls shooting

A Town of Lockport man pleaded not guilty in State Supreme Court Wednesday to charges of shooting a man in Niagara Falls Aug. 2.

Se'vone M. Lowe, 19, of Dysinger Road, allegedly shot a man in the back of the leg outside the Hometown Market at 15th Street and Pierce Avenue in the Falls. He was charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon, both in the second degree.

Niagara County Assistant District Attorney Doreen M. Hoffmann said she didn't know why the shooting occurred.

Justice Richard C. Kloch Sr. jailed Lowe in lieu of $100,000 bail.
