The Bills' radio show has a new name.
As Bills Wall-of-Famer and current CBS broadcaster Steve Tasker joins John Murphy as a co-host on the team radio show, the name will change from "The John Murphy Show" to "One Bills Live."
The new show will debut on April 23 and run weekdays from noon until 3 p.m. on WGR Sports Radio 550, MSG Networks and the MSG Go app.
Appearing on "One Bills Live" won't take Tasker away from his broadcast work with CBS. News media critic Alan Pergament wrote last week that Tasker is expected to be a sideline reporter with play-by-play man Kevin Harlan and analyst Rich Gannon next season instead of continuing as a game analyst.
Tasker replaces former Bill Donald Jones on the radio show. It was announced in January that Jones wanted to pursue opportunities closer to his home in New Jersey.
“Steve is the perfect fit,” said Mark Preisler, Pegula Sports and Entertainment's Executive Vice President of Media & Content. “He’s a Bills legend. He’s heavily connected to the NFL and its story lines through his work with CBS. He relates to our players and coaching staff, and he’s embedded in the Western New York community. He will no doubt provide our fans with great insight.”
Tasker played for the Bills from 1986-97. He was a wide receiver and a fan-favorite special teams ace who made seven Pro Bowls. He was inducted to the Bills' Wall of Fame in 2007.
