Environmental forum examines native views of Earth

Native Americans have long been characterized as being a people who are one with nature, espousing a different kind of view of Mother Earth. WGRZ and 2 the Outdoors will be exploring that theme for its next Environmental Forum entitled “Sacred Land: A Native View of the Earth.” Featured speakers will include Steve Gordon and Maurice “Moe” John, both Seneca Nation elders, as well as Mike Bastine, an elder with the Algonquins.

The Forum will take place on April 18 at Tifft Nature Preserve, 1200 Fuhrmann Blvd., Buffalo starting at 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 7 p.m. The event is free to the public. For more information contact Terry Belke at
