Woman charged with bringing cocaine into county building

She allegedly claimed it was "crushed ibuprofen."

But according to the Erie County Sheriff's Office, the white powder in a plastic bag that Christine Soler, 40, of Utica, removed from her pockets after she failed to clear the metal detectors at the Rath Building in downtown Buffalo Monday, tested positive for cocaine.

The substance, which deputies field tested, weighed 3.96 grams, sheriff's officials said.

Soler was charged with a felony count of criminal possession of a narcotic and was taken to the Erie County Holding Center pending her arraignment, officials said.
