Man to serve four years for gas station armed robbery

A Blasdell man who robbed a Town of Niagara gas station while armed with a .22-caliber rifle was sentenced Tuesday to four years in prison.

Brandon J. Kruszka, 21, of Lakeview Avenue, also will face three years of post-release supervision, Niagara County Judge Matthew J. Murphy III ordered.

Kruszka was living in the Expressway Village mobile home park in the Town of Niagara Dec. 16, when he committed the $136 robbery at a Sunoco station on Packard Road. He pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of attempted second-degree robbery.
