Barker chooses Brockport administrator as new school superintendent

Jacob L. Reimer was appointed the next superintendent of the Barker Central School District by the Board of Education on Monday.

Superintendent Roger J. Klatt, who will retire June 30 after 11 years, said Reimer will be paid $145,000 a year on a three-year contract.

Reimer has been assistant superintendent for human resources at Brockport Central for the past three years. He also taught in two Monroe County districts and then became director of finance and instructional technology at Marion Central School in Wayne County.

Klatt's services had been shared by the Barker and Royalton-Hartland districts for the past five years. In January, Roy-Hart chose Henry J. Stopinski, founding principal of Health Sciences Charter School, as its new superintendent.
