Man arrested in Buffalo store robbery

Buffalo police arrested a man Saturday morning and charged him with the March 29 robbery of a store at Grant Street and West Delavan Avenue.

Jesse Korhummel, 31, no permanent address, was stopped at 7:30 a.m. on Elmwood Avenue between Auburn and Cleveland avenues and charged with third-degree robbery, police said. Officers also found that Korhummel was wanted on six other arrest warrants.

Police said they also found a crack pipe in Korhummel's book bag and charged him with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

In the March 29 holdup, Northwest District police reported that a man entered the store with his hands in his pockets as if he had a weapon, demanded money from the cashier, and escaped with $125. A second man was outside as a lookout.
