LB Kevin Minter, who made free agent visit to Buffalo, instead signs with Jets

Scratch Kevin Minter's name off the list of potential middle linebackers for the Buffalo Bills.

Minter signed with the New York Jets on Monday. The former Bengals linebacker made a free agent visit to the Bills back on March 19. Minter is the second linebacker to sign elsewhere after making a visit to Orchard Park. Previously, former Redskins linebacker Will Compton signed with Tennessee.

Minter has appeared in 70 games with 44 starts in five NFL seasons, the first four of which were spent with Arizona. Minter played under current Jets coach Todd Bowles with the Cardinals for two years, when Bowles was Arizona's defensive coordinator.

Buffalo has also hosted veteran Karlos Dansby on a free agent visit. He remains unsigned.
