It feels like yesterday, but it's been 20 years since the Goo Goo Dolls released "Dizzy Up the Girl," launching the band into world-wide renown with such hits as "Iris" and "Slide."
In celebration of the disc's 20th anniversary, the band is embarking on a special tour that brings it home for shows at 8 p.m. Oct. 19 and 20 in Shea's Buffalo Theatre (646 Main St.). The band will perform the album in its entirety, followed by an additional set of music.
"I am incredibly excited to share this album in its entirety with our fans,” said singer John Rzeznik.
The band posted a video to social media announcing the tour, which can be seen here.
