Indictment charges Falls man with shooting house and truck

A Niagara Falls man pleaded not guilty Friday in Niagara County Court to an indictment accusing him of opening fire on a house near the corner of 18th and Niagara streets in the Falls on Feb. 8.

Andre G. Williams, 27, of Ontario Avenue, is charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, third-degree criminal mischief and second- and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Assistant District Attorney Doreen M. Hoffmann said Williams allegedly damaged a truck parked in front of the house. No one was struck by the gunfire,  which Hoffmann said is believed to have been prompted by a verbal exchange between Williams and a resident.
