Binghamton Senators end Americans' point streak

The Rochester Americans' five-game point streak came to an end Friday night, as the Belleville Senators scored four times in the second period in a 5-1 win at Blue Cross Arena.

Colin Blackwell scored at the 18:31 mark of the first period, but Parker Kelly, Boston Leier and Nick Paul all beat Rochester goalie Jonas Johansson in the first 4:11 of the second. Jack Rodewald added another goal in the final minute of the middle frame to give the B-Sens a commanding lead.

Friday's contest kicked off a four-game homestand for the Amerks. Rochester returns to action Saturday against the Toronto Marlies at 7:05 p.m.
