The Newfane Historical Society welcomes spring with its annual Apple Blossom Festival and marks the end of summer with its Apple Harvest Festival. This year's Blossom Festival, the society's 42nd, kicks off at 10 a.m. May 20 at the Country Village, 2485 West Creek Road, Newfane.
The days' events include a show of tractors and farm equipment, live music, crafts demonstrations and sales, games, historical demonstrations, local products for sale and a flea market. Food to be sold include chicken chowder, apple butter, baked good, beef on weck, burgers and hot dogs.
The Country Village exhibits will also be open. Admission is free.
