'World's shortest' Dyngus Day parade set in Lackawanna

Lackawanna will host "the world’s shortest Dyngus Day parade" on Monday, following the noon Mass at Our Lady of Victory Basilica.

The parade will begin at around 12:45 p.m., covering the distance from the basilica to Lackawanna’s City Hall, which has been counted to be around 97 steps, said Lackawanna Mayor Geoffrey Szymanski .

The event is sponsored by the City of Lackawanna and the Colonel Weber Post 898 Veterans of Foreign Wars.
