Villages ready for public hearings on annual budgets

Three Niagara County villages will hold public hearings Monday on their proposed budgets for 2018-19.

The Lewiston Village Board will present its proposed $3.6 million budget at 6 p.m. Monday in Village Hall, 145 N. 4th St.

The Wilson Village Board will discuss its proposed $731,347 budget at 7 p.m. in Village Hall, 375 Lake St.

And the Barker Village Board will present its proposed $339,066 budget at 7 p.m. in Village Hall, 8708 Main St.

The public is invited to attend and ask questions during the public hearings, prior to the boards’ adoptions of the annual spending plans.

The Village of Youngstown is still ironing out final details on its budget and will present its proposal in a public hearing at 7 p.m. April 12 in Village Hall, while the Village of Middleport is also still meeting in budget workshops and will present its proposal in a public hearing at 7 p.m. April 16 in Village Hall.
