A dispute between two women that continued over several days erupted into violence Wednesday afternoon when one of the combatants was slashed repeatedly with a knife, according to Town of Lockport police.
The victim told police she was in the bedroom of her home on Chickadee Drive just after 4 p.m. Wednesday when she heard someone come in, and she was confronted by a woman with whom she had been arguing for several days. The confrontation turned physical and the intruder pulled out a knife and began slashing at the victim, cutting her on the face, neck and forearm.
The woman sought treatment at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. She was able to identify her attacker, officers said, but indicated that she did not wish any further involvement by police before she suddenly left the hospital before receiving treatment for her wounds.
