Gran Fondo 'pre-ride' raises funds for Niagara Hospice

A recent “pre-ride” to the annual Niagara Hospice Gran Fondo raised $500 to support the upcoming event, planned for May 19 at Krull Park in Olcott.

Spinning instructor Stefany Critelli held a 3-hour spin class at the former ChrisFit in Lewiston on Feb. 24 to raise the funds (ChrisFit has since moved to 4600 Witmer Industrial Estates, Niagara Falls). Riders paid $10 for each hour they participated.

Riders may choose from three routes that travel through the Niagara Wine Trail for the annual Hospice Gran Fondo bicycle ride May 19, which raises money for Niagara Hospice. Wineries offer free tastings at the post-ride party and also enjoy live music and snacks provided by Tops Markets.
