Falls Schools' first 5K and Family Fun Run planned

The Niagara Falls City School District will host its first 5K and 1.5 mile Family Fun Run in conjunction with its Health and Wellness Exposition from 3 to 6 p.m. April 26.

The event will be held at Niagara Falls High School, 4455 Porter Road and is open to the public. The expo will offer a variety of health and wellness information from community organizations and businesses, as well as children’s activities.

The 5K and Fun Run is free to Niagara Falls students, staff and family members. All other community members pay a $20 entry fee for the 5K and a $10 fee for the Fun Run (children 4 and under are free). Packet pick-up is 3 to 4:45 p.m., with the two runs beginning at 5 p.m. The runs are timed events with awards to the top 3 finishers in each age group (an award will be given to every child). There will be a post race party.

Register by April 9 to receive a free T-shirt and race bag.
