Falls City Council invites public to learn about budget process

The Niagara Falls City Council, headed by Chairman Andrew Touma, and City Controller Daniel Morello will present a series of “Let’s Talk Budget” sessions, beginning from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. April 18 at Niagara Street School, 2513 Niagara St.

The meetings will provide an opportunity for the public to ask questions and express concerns. Organizers will explain the city budget cycle, structures and sources of city revenue and typical expenditure categories.

The next meeting will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. June 25 at the LaSalle Branch Library, 8728 Buffalo Ave.; the series resumes after the August recess from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 26 at the John A. Duke Senior Center, 1201 Hyde Park Ave.; and concludes from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Dec. 19 at the Doris Jones Family Resource Center, 3001 Ninth St.
