Deputies in Chautauqua County say they chased down a woman who was the subject of a felony warrant and found her with a small quantity of methamphetamine.
Emilee A. Carlson, 25, of Mayville was spotted by deputies riding in a vehicle on Miller Street in the Town of Sherman early Saturday, deputies said in a report. They stopped the auto and were speaking with its driver when Carlson bolted, deputies said. They caught her after a short chase and charged her with criminal possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest, deputies said. She was placed in the county jail without bail.
Deputies said Jason D. Ferguson, 34, of Sherman was driving the auto with a suspended license. They ticketed him with aggravated unlicensed operation. He must appear in town court at a later date.
