Crumpton, Mobley, and Clark out at 3X3U Tournament

There won't be any Big 4 players competing for the $50,000 championship prize at the 3X3U Tournament in San Antonio, Texas.

The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, Atlantic 10, and Mid-American all failed to make it past pool play in the inaugural event, featuring all-star teams of seniors from 32 Division I colleges.

The MAAC, with Jermaine Crumpton from Canisius, went 1-2 while the Atlantic 10, with St. Bonaventure's Matt Mobley, went 1-1. Teams received $1,000 to share for each pool play win, meaning Crumpton and Mobley earned their first payday from basketball. Not so for the University at Buffalo's Wes Clark as his Mid-American Conference team went 0-3.

Sunday's quarterfinal matchups will be: SWAC vs. America East, SEC vs. Big Ten, MEAC vs. West Coast, Big West vs. Ivy. The semifinals will be broadcast on ESPN2 beginning at 3:40 p.m. while the championship, with the winning team receiving $50,000, will be at 5:05 p.m., also on ESPN2.
