Defending Section VI Class B girls lacrosse champion Hamburg stayed unbeaten with an 18-6 win over Eden on Thursday, lifting the team to 2-0 on the young season.
Midfielder Emma O’Neill scored five goals and controlled 15 draws to lead the Bulldogs to the victory. Anjali Silverheels recorded four goals and three assists while Tori Lettieri found the back of the net three times.
Hamburg has outscored opponents 31-8 in its first two games after opening the season with a 13-2 win Thursday against West Seneca East.
The team has nearly two weeks off until its next game on April 11, which is a showdown with defending Class A champion Frontier. Frontier got the best of Hamburg last season, winning 15-6.
