Temperatures are rising well into the 40s and will start to feel a little more like spring today. But that also means we should expect some rain, too. Here's what to expect Thursday and Friday.
The day will start out with areas of dense fog, particularly in the higher terrain of Southern Erie, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua and Wyoming counties, between about 8 and 9 a.m., according to the National Weather Service of Buffalo.
"If you will be traveling across the region leave yourself extra time to reach your destination and be sure to slow down and use extra caution in areas where visibilities are greatly reduced," weather service forecasters warned in a special statement this morning.
Then there's a chance of rain showers starting at about 9 a.m. through 1 p.m. The rain will steadily increase as the afternoon progresses. The high today will be 49.

Expect more patchy fog and there's a 100 percent chance of rain. Temperatures will dip into the 30s.
There's a chance of rain and snow showers early Friday morning, but it's not expected to accumulate and the precipitation will turn over to just a slight chance of rain showers by about 9 a.m. Otherwise expect a cloudy day with a little bit of wind and highs in the mid 40s.
