Former Kenmore East player Andrew Sturtz, who played college hockey at Penn State, has signed a two-year, entry-level contract with the Ottawa Senators that will begin with the 2018-19 season.
Sturtz led Penn State in scoring in his junior season with 14 goals and 26 assists for 40 points.
For his career at Penn State, which made the NCAA tournament this season, he had 104 points in 111 career games and is the team’s all-time goal-scoring leader at 54.
Sturtz helped Kenmore East win the state championship in 2012 with a hat trick in the championship game against Oswego.
