Falls man, one of five charged with selling cocaine, pleads guilty

Justin T. Kent, one of five men charged with selling crack cocaine last summer near a Niagara Falls gas station, pleaded guilty Wednesday.

Kent, 28, of Cleveland Avenue in the Falls, admitted to a July 12 drug deal. He faces a possible four-year prison term when sentenced April 11 by Niagara County Judge Matthew J. Murphy III. Kent previously served 10 years for two 2006 armed robberies.

Monday, in the first of the five cases, Murphy sentenced Jha'mere M. Mulkey, 20, to four years for a July 25 crack deal and for being the driver in a 2016 drive-by shooting.

Three other men also have been charged with selling crack near the Coastal station at 19th Street and Walnut Avenue.

"Why don't we just set up a police substation there?" Murphy asked facetiously.
