Route 198 reopened with lane restrictions after cement truck accident

The westbound Route 198 has been reopened with some lane restrictions after an accident earlier Monday at Grant Street, according to Buffalo police.

Portions of the Scajacquada Expressway had been closed in that area following an accident involving a cement truck that appeared to have struck the Grant Street bridge, which remains closed, police said in a tweet.

Route 198 westbound had been reopened only until Grant Street, at which point traffic was diverted to exit at Grant Street and was rerouted.

Route 198 eastbound was briefly closed, but has since reopened to traffic.
