Bruins acquire Nash, who could be in lineup in Buffalo today

Rick Nash is coming to Buffalo – to play for the Bruins.

Boston swung a huge trade Sunday morning, acquiring the high-scoring winger from the New York Rangers in exchange for a first-round pick in this year's NHL Draft, defenseman Ryan Lindgren, forwards Ryan Spooner and Matt Beleskey, and a seventh-round pick in 2019.

The Sabres host the Bruins at 5 p.m. Sunday, and Nash could be in the lineup.

The haul brought in by the Rangers could bode well for Buffalo, which will trade left wing Evander Kane. He and Nash were considered the top wingers on the market, so Boston possibly set the framework for a Kane deal.

Nash has 18 goals and 28 points in 60 games with New York. Kane has 20 goals and 40 points in 61 games.

With trade imminent, Sabres tell Kane to take a seat
