The Buffalo Beauts (9-4) , who ended Metropolitan's 11-game winning streak in the National Women's Hockey League on Feb. 3, will take on the Riveters (12-1-0) again at 3 p.m. this afternoon in Newark, N.J. It will be the first of two straight games between the rivals, who also will meet in Newark next Sunday afternoon.
Buffalo defeated the Riveters to win the NWHL's Isobel Cup last year. Each side has won eight games in their three-year NWHL rivalry. Metro won one shootout while the Beauts won a shootout and two overtime games.
Hayley Scamurra of the Beauts has racked up nine points (3 goals-6 assists) in four career games against the Riveters. She had a three-point game in the win over Metro on Feb. 3.
The Riveters had won the first three games of the season series against Buffalo, but the Beauts have not lost since a 4-2 game against the Riveters on Dec. 10, winning their last seven.
