Woman robbed at gunpoint walking to work near Niagara Falls Library

A woman told police she was robbed at gunpoint while walking to work around 6 a.m. Wednesday outside the Niagara Falls Public Library on Main Street, according to a police report.

The robber approached the victim between the library parking lot and track around Legends Park. He demanded money and, after the victim told him she didn't have any, he told her he wanted her rings, according to the report.

The robber fled on foot toward Abate Elementary School, she told police. A search for the suspect by police came up empty.
