Nardin grad fatally shot in Maryland double homicide

A 2001 Nardin Academy graduate was fatally shot last week in Maryland, according to multiple media reports.

Ashley S. Dickinson, 34, was killed Thursday night in a car in Burtonsville, Md., about 25 miles southwest of Baltimore. A 29-year-old man, Joshua M. Frazier, also was found fatally shot in the vehicle, according to media reports.

Dickinson and Frazier were spotted by a person walking by the running vehicle, according to WJT-TV in Baltimore and WTTG-TV in Washington, D.C.

Both Dickinson and Frazier were residents of Alexandria, Va., according to WRC-TV in Washington.

Gordon Dickinson, Ashley's father, talked to WRC-TV about his daughter. "She would help anybody. ... She was a caring and loving person. ... She didn't drink. She didn't smoke. She was just a lovely person," he told the television station. "...This is all a shock to me, everything. ... This is awful."

Frazier, who worked as a personal trainer, served about six years of a 40-year sentence following a murder conviction stemming from a 2008 killing, according to WRC-TV.

Police are offering a $10,000 reward for information on the killings.
